About

What this is

Every Girl Name puts official birth statistics for girls' names from dozens of countries, provinces and cities side by side, so you can see where a name is actually given, how often, and whether she is rising or falling.

The deck starts from a name you love and deals sisters, middle names or names in the same style, one card at a time, each with the reason it fits and where she is loved, common or rare.

How it is made

Every figure is computed from the publishers' own files and printed with its source. Meanings are sourced and attributed. Nothing on a page is a guess dressed up as a fact: if we do not know, the page says so.

The same scoring runs on the static pages and in the deck, so a name's sister-name page and the deck never disagree.

Corrections

If a figure looks wrong, check the publisher's file linked on the sources page first; if ours differs from it, that is our mistake and we will fix it.
